Bachelors II win 2013 Chicora Pa Area Softball league

Bachelors II recently captured the Chicora Area Softball League Championship by defeating Armstrong/Countyline 3-2 in the best of 5 championship series. Armstrong led the series 2-0 before Bachelors II came back and won the 3 final games. Bachelors II went on to compete in the National Tournament in Port Huron MI, placing 9th out of 25 teams. The Chicora Area Softball League is located in northeastern Butler County and northwestern Armstrong County, PA.

I started pitching “Medium” pitch softball, or what the ASA calls 10 Man Modified, on Staten Island, NY in the New York City Park League as a teenager back in the 60’s. I have now been pitching for 50 years and still have a passion for the game.
When it comes to the pitching rules there are very few others that have my experience. I have been used at Umpire clinics, clarified the Pa. ASA pitching rules, and presented to the National ASA Modified Committee on several occasions.
